Story:

She can run, but she can’t hide.

Predator and prey. Soleil is a Valkyrie—the quintessential huntress—and she’s on a mission. Unfortunately, she’s also broken the rules. Now agents of Valhalla hunt her. And they’ll destroy anything that gets in their way. Even her loved ones.

To keep her family and friends safe, Soleil distances herself from them—at great personal cost. Her only chance at a happy ending is to complete her assignment before she’s found. But she can’t do it alone. So she enlists the help of the one person whose survival doesn’t matter to her—a person who also wants her dead.

The unlikely duo flees to Egypt and begins their pursuit. It’s not long before a rogue faction and the agents of Valhalla find them. Compounding her problems? Her trickster boyfriend, Titan, is also searching for her. He’s closing in, putting himself in great danger. And she’ll do anything to keep him safe.

It’s a race against time, villains, and all of Valhalla. The odds are against Soleil. Will she find and kill her target before her enemies find and kill her?

My review:

I was looking forward to this book because I was curious to find out if Soleil can finish her mission and get away without being punished by Valhalla’s agents. This time Soleil leaves Tristan in a Vampire castle to find her next target – the dictator – in Egypt. Since her friends won’t let her leave alone, she has to take Evelyn with her – the witch who wants her dead. Fortunately Roska puts Evelyn under a spell so she can’t harm but only help Soleil on her mission. If you read the first book, you know that this is an interesting combination. So Soleil and Evelyn are trying to find the dictator while Tristan tries to find out where Soleil went. Soleil is attacked by Valkyrie hunters who Tristan will trick later so they all get away unharmed. The search for the dictator is more difficult than expected and when you think they’re finally able to fulfill her mission, the story takes an unexpected but very interesting turn before ending in an even bigger cliffhanger.. Stacy you got me hooked!

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
